At the My Phuong Food Company Limited located in Hoa Vang District, these days, workers have been busy working to keep up with the completion deadlines of orders.
Ms. Mai Thi Y Nhi, the company’s Director said that the company produces 2 tonnes of coconut cakes every day to serve the domestic market and export at a ratio of 50:50.
The company’s main export markets are in Japan, South Korea and it is eyeing potential ones such as China and the US. However, Ms. Nhi said that the domestic market is promoted by the company to increase its recognition.
Specifically, the company is cooperating with tourist attractions as well as gift shops in Da Nang and at crowded places such as Phu Quoc in Kien Giang Province and Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa Province.
In addition, the company has opened distribution channels at supermarkets and grocery stores. Up to now, the company's products have appeared in 35 out of the total 63 Vietnamese provinces and cities and on online booths of e-commerce platforms.
Meanwhile, enterprises in the textile and garment industry have also increased their brand expansion in the domestic market. Specifically, Merriman, a fashion brand under the Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Corporation, has just launched a summer collection with featured product lines that are improved in terms of design and quality such as fabric shirts, bamboo fiber, cow's milk fiber shirts and many promotions for customers.
Hachiba's face and bath towel product lines, the brand of 29-3 Textile Joint Stock Company are promoted in the markets of Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi through distribution channels such as stores, supermarkets at competitive prices.
In a similar vein, the Kim Sora Co., Ltd. and Hoa Khanh - Da Nang Textile JSC have also invested in improving designs and expanding product distribution store chains as a move to increase market share and improve operational efficiency with the aim of bringing good-quality products directly to domestic consumers.
Mr. Duong Tue, the Director of Kim Sora Co., Ltd. said that the company is expanding a network of agents and distributors nationwide. To increase competitiveness, the company is focusing on investing in production, cooperating with domestic and foreign experts to acquire skills, transfer production management technology, and develop new products.
It can be seen that businesses Da Nang-wide are very proactive to timely ensure job security for their staff and seek ways to keep them on their toes in the event of economic difficulties and challenges.
However, not all businesses can immediately switch from exporting to doing business at home, especially those that only process foreign-brand goods and products that are only suitable for export markets. Therefore, besides the initiative taken by enterprises, the support of State management agencies is very necessary.
Accordingly, the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade is continuing the plan to combine the promotion of loal products with tourism, deploy the promotion and introduction of signature products at tourist destinations in Da Nang to increase the product's accessibility to more local residents and visitors.
Heed will be paid to organising exhibitions and product introductions on holidays, New Year, Tet and occasions with international tourism activities in Da Nang.
Locations in the districts and some areas in industrial parks are prioritised for the organisation of fairs and exhibitions. Included are APEC Statue Garden Park, a public park at the eastern bank of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, ‘Bien Dong’ (East Sea Park), the Da Nang International Exhibition Centre, Cam Le District Sports and Information Centre, March 29 Park, the Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang district-level administrative centres, vacant land lots on Chuong Duong Street near Tran Thi Ly Bridge, at Pham Huu Nhat - Le Van Hien intersection, and a park in front of Bac My An Market and others.
