In detail, six out of the 11 main groups of goods and services recorded an increase in CPI that is higher than the general growth rate. Accordingly, the prices of housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction material increased by 2.4%; traffic 2.4%; apparel, hats and footwear 0.65%; appliances and household appliances by 0.34%; culture, entertainment and tourism 0.21%; education 0.03%.

Some prominent reasons for the CPI hike as compared to the previous month were that the landlords applied a new price according to the market price, causing the rent to go by 2.88% compared to the previous month. The general fuel price index climbed by 5.42%.
The public demand for electricity and water went up, which prompted the prices of electricity and water to rise by 0.13% and 0.95% respectively.
In February, the prices of services and goods returning to normal levels after Tet was also attributed to a CPI decrease in some groups of goods and services as above mentioned.
