The visiting Da Nang delegation led by Municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh on Friday morning paid a working visit to Mitsubishi Corporation as part of their ongoing business trip to Japan.

Da Nang visitors were warmly received by Mr. Tetsu Funayama, the Senior Vice President of Mitsubishi Corp and General Manager of Kansai branch.

During his meeting with the Japanese hosts, Vice Chairman Minh highlighted the purpose of Da Nang delegation’s visit to Japan as the city’s investment promotion program in a bid to attract Japanese investment into such key aspects as tourism, information technology, hi-tech, Lien Chieu Port, and industrial park infrastructure.

Mr Minh stated that the city is currently calling on Japanese businesses to build the industrial park that will exclusively house Japanese units, and will have infrastructure and facilities matching Japanese standards.

Mr. Tetsu Funayama said that he is pleased to welcome Da Nang visitors to Kansai, asking for information about the city’s investment climate and opportunities so that he can work with Kansai Economic Federation and Kansai Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry to organize investment promotion seminars in the aspects of tourism and digital transformation. He will make appealing to both Japanese and Da Nang’s businesses to put their money into projects in Da Nang and Japan, respectively.

He remarked that economic relations between the two countries would be further strengthened in the coming time, especially in the aspects of information technology and human resource training. At the same time, he hoped that Da Nang would further expand its relations with other Japanese localities.

In order to increase Da Nang’s investment promotion activities in Japan, Mr Ho Ky Minh directed the Municipal Investment Promotion and Support Board to closely work with Mitsubishi Corporation to organize a webinar to introduce the city’s potentials and investment opportunities in the city, including in industrial parks and Hi-Tech Park, to businesses in the Kansai region and the Kansai Economic Federation.

Besides, the Da Nang leader took the opportunity to call on Japanese business delegations to visit the city in order to learn about the city’s investment climate and seek investment opportunities.
