Da Nang to conduct diverse trade promotion activities in 2023

According to the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade said that trade promotion activities in 2023 will be diverse in different ways in a bid to support local businesses in promoting and consuming their products, expanding their domestic and international consumer markets.

In detail, the focus will be on organizing 12 programs featuring trade fairs and exhibitions, Vietnamese goods fairs. They are a Vietnamese Goods Fair to honour One Commune-One Product (OCOP) to be expected to take place in June, an exhibition showcasing products of supporting industries along with processing and manufacturing industries to be slated to be held in July, the International East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade and Tourism Fair 2023 to be expected to take place in August, three promotional programs to introduce the city’s OCOP products, its typical products and souvenir items, four Vietnamese goods fairs to be expected to be held from June to July, the Hoa Vang Agricultural Fair to be slated to be held in July, and the Vietbuild Da Nang International Exhibition 2023 to be expected to take place in May.

In addition, the city will facilitate local businesses to participate in 11 events such as trade fairs, exhibitions, and the supply-demand connection conferences between Da Nang and localities countrywide.

Furthermore, local businesses will be given the opportunity to participate in overseas exhibitions and trade connections to seek their trade partners. Included are  THAIFEX – Anuga Asia to be held in Impact Exhibition & Convention Center Bangkok on 23 to 27 May to show the companies news of Thailand and internationals related to sectors namely, home decoration, cosmetics, drinks, and food, Viet Nam Festival in Japan’s Osaka City to be held in June,  the 18th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) to set to take place in Guangdong Province  in June, the supply-demand connection conference to be held in Savanakhet Province of Laos in July, the Viet Nam - Laos Expo Fair to take place in Vientiane, the largest city and capital of Laos, in August. Besides, local businesses will also take part in investment, trade and tourism promotion programs at the national level in line with the direction from the Da Nang government.
