The Da Nang Urban Environment JSC is coordinating with Switchboard 1022 under the Da Nang Public Service Information Center to communicate, guide and facilitate for households citywide to look up customer codes and make payment of environmental sanitation service prices online through non-cash payment channels.

Deputy General Director of the Da Nang Urban Environment JSC Vo Thi Huynh Trang said that over the past time, the company has completed a set of customer codes for all households, businesses and units using its environmental sanitation services.

Customer code for each household is printed on the receipt of payment for environmental sanitation services.

For those who do not remember their customer codes when making online payments for sanitation services, the company is coordinating with the Switchboard 1022 to communicate and guide them to look up customer codes. The company encourages households to pay online for environmental sanitation service fees for six months or one year each time.

According to Mrs. Vo Thi Huynh Trang, the company has signed contracts with commercial banks to create favourable conditions for households to pay environmental sanitation service fees online.

Notably, the company has cooperated with such e-wallet service providers as Viettel Money, Payoo and MoMo to collect environmental sanitation fees on the basis of customers using the partners' services.

Besides, the company has signed contracts with households on converting into non-cash payment methods, and at the same time encouraged customers to automatically pay environmental sanitation service fees online via online payment applications or e-wallets.

The company has used collection management software via API gateway to successfully connect with the Switchboard 1022; Payoo, MoMo, Viettel Money, VNPT Pay e-wallets; and Agribank, MBbank, PVComBank, and Vietcombank to connect customer databases.

Moreover, the focus has been on setting up applications on smartphones and developing applications on websites for automatic payment, creating conditions for customers to pay fees.

The company has also signed a contract with a post and telecommunications unit to use SMS Brandname services so as to send messages about environmental sanitation bills to customers.

According to leaders of the Da Nang Urban Environment JSC, thanks to the effective implementation of such aforementioned solutions, up to now, 31.13% of the company’s total customers have got involved in non-cash payment for environmental sanitation services.

However, the city sets a target of 70-80% of households and businesses in the city making online payments for environmental sanitation services during the 2021-2025 period.

In an effort to realise its target, the company will continue to take other solutions. In the immediate future, from now until May 2023, the company will coordinate with the Switchboard 1022 Da Nang to wide publicise the city’s policy on non-cash payment for environmental sanitation bills among local residents.
