During the meeting with South Korean guests, a representative from the city’s Investment Promotion and Support Board introduced the city's competitive advantages in investment attraction to South Korean guests.
Specifically, Da Nang is the only locality in Central Viet Nam to have a Hi-Tech Park. The city boasts a transparent investment environment and ideal quality of life.
Some investment opportunities in ecological and smart urban areas, commercial and service zones, and the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, were also introduced to the visitors.
Till date, the city has attracted 977 FDI projects with a total investment of more than US$4 billion, including South Korean-invested 256 projects totalling US$358 million. The number of South Korean tourists is accounting for nearly 50% of the total international visitor arrivals in Da Nang. The local real estate market is showing positive sign of recovery.
A representative of the municipal Department of Construction said that the city is aiming to develop an ecological and high-tech urban area, suggesting investors from South Korea to invest in high-class apartments, and commercial and service areas, in the eastern side of the city, and urban development projects, especially mega-urban ones, in the western side.
For his part, Mr. Lee Jong Hyek, Chairman of the Korean Real Estate Brokers Association, expressed surprise at Da Nang’s development orientation towards a smart city and high-tech industry.
He revealed that many partners in South Korea were looking for investment opportunities abroad, especially in high-tech industry.
He also expressed his pleasure at welcoming the delegation of Da Nang to visit and promote investment attraction activities at the Association’s office in Seoul in the coming time.
Deputy Director of the city's Investment Promotion and Support Board Do Thi Quynh Tram said that the visit made by the Association was a good sign for the development of the city.
She pledged that the Board would assist the Association in conducting field surveys as well as provide the Association with information about investment opportunities in Da Nang’s Hi-Tech Park and other industrial parks in the city.
Mrs. Tram took the opportunities to ask for help from the Association to provide information related to the city’s investment environment and opportunities to more than 100,000 members who are real estate geographies in South Korea. She also invited the Association and its partners to attend the forthcoming Da Nang Investment Forum 2023.
