On this occasion, Lao Airlines also offered 3 vouchers for round-trip air tickets for experiencing the Vientiane - Da Nang route to 3 lucky passengers on the Thursday flight.
The Da Nang - Vientiane air route operates two flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays. It is known that Airbus A320 aircraft, with a maximum capacity of 158 passengers, is used for this route. The flight duration is expected to last 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Lao Airlines is also now operating non-stop air services to Ho Chi Minh City and the capital Vietnamese city of Ha Noi. With these routes, it is expected that more passengers, from such other countries such as South Korea and China to Da Nang, and especially, Vientiane will become transit points for passengers to Viet Nam.
The Vientiane - Da Nang route is of great significance to Da Nang tourism, not only connecting Da Nang with the Laotian market but also helping to link the central coastal Vietnamese city with other tourist markets in the northeast region of Thailand.
In 2022, Laos ranked 10th in the top 10 main tourist source markets of Da Nang, with about 10,000 visitors, accounting for 2.1% of the total number of tourists to Da Nang.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, the Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism said: “Up to this point, the acceleration of tourism development as a whole, especially the restoration of international markets, is under way.
The rush of international flights to Da Nang in the first months of 2023 was a very meaningful signal for the recovery and development of the Da Nang aviation and tourism market, especially helping the city to attract more international visitors.
