VCCI Da Nang to develop Department and District Competitiveness Index for central localities in 2023
The Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI Da Nang) recently hosted a get-together for business associations and VCCI members in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions in 2023 to mark the 60th birthday of VCCI (April 27).
Every year, VCCI Da Nang issues nearly 15,000 certificates of origin (C/O) per year, and checks more than 9,000 sets of codes to certify registered traders for their goods.
Currently, VCCI Da Nang is conducting a survey and developed a report about the Department and District Competitiveness Index (DDCI) for 7 out of the 11 provinces and cities in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands region.
In addition, it is conducting surveys about the training needs of businesses, thereby raising awareness and capacity for businesses related to the field of trade facilitation within the framework of the total factor productivity (TFP) project, and widely publicising and disseminating new-generation free trade agreements (FTAs).
In 2023, VCCI Da Nang plans to develop the code of DDCI for 4 localities, organise training courses on the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), DDCI and business environment improvement to enhance capacity for local officials, along with more than 80 classes, training courses, conferences and seminars.
