The Economic - Financial Forum 2023 opened in Da Nang on Friday afternoon under the theme "Mobilising resources for rapid and sustainable development of the key economic zone in Central Viet Nam".

Co-hosted by the Viet Nam Financial Times magazine and the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the forum attracted more than 100 businesses and many economic experts and speakers.

The forum featured discussions about the economic picture of the central key economic zone, a number of problems posed for attracting investment resources, solutions to mobilise resources for the development of the central key economic zone, and the perfecting of institutions for the central key economic zone.

Also, at the forum, Dr. Can Van Luc, a member of the National Financial and Monetary Policy Advisory Council proposed 10 solutions for the socio-economic development in the key economic zone in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands region.

Included were redistributing and expanding the central key economic zone; making a master plan; institutionalising regional linkage mechanism; developing the marine economy and high-tech industry in the direction of balancing three economic - social - environmental factors; building and perfecting the specific mechanism; synchronously building infrastructure; restructuring and creating strong changes in the economic sectors of industry - service - agriculture; diversifying financial resources; creating breakthroughs to attract quality human resources; strengthening administrative reform; and prioritising human resource development, healthcare services and education.
