Eight ‘Made-in-Da Nang’ products are on display at the Smart City Asia 2023 which officially opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday, according to the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications.

They are the Da Nang Digital Citizen platform, known as My Portal Da Nang, developed by the Smart Digital Technology JSC; Green Data data warehouse solution and data portal by the Green Global Information Technology JSC; the SMARTOS (Smarter Office Space) - an integrated space management platform developed for rental spaces; a smart centralised urban, traffic and communication management solution by the Atoma Technology Co., Ltd; and the real-time lean production management platform by the Retex Technology JSC.

Products developed by the Electronics Manufacturing Center under the Da Nang-based Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) are being displayed at the event. They are electronic meters and grid automation solutions, a rooftop solar power monitoring and control system, and a smart building energy management system combined with rooftop solar power.

Smart City Asia 2023 is jointly organised by the Viet Nam Digital Media Association, the Exporum Co., Ltd., the Institute of Digital Innovation and Transformation, and the Viet Nam Automation Association.

It is accompanied by the Ministry of Information and Communications, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and other localities such as Da Nang and Hai Phong.

Held from April 13 - 15, the event features more than 400 booths displaying nearly 300 technology products related to smart mobility and smart home developed by the world’s leading technology enterprises such as South Korea, Finland, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China) and Singapore.

The event provides an opportunity for leading managers and experts at both home and abroad to meet, exchange and share orientation, strategies, solutions, and practical management tools in smart urban development.

This will help the definition of ‘Smart City’ be more popular with visitors, connecting businesses and supporting them to achieve good results, therbey promoting their brands in the exhibition's communications programme.

It is also a chance for organisations, businesses and individuals to exchange, connect, exchange experiences, and introduce technology products.

During the exhibition, trade promotion activities and trade meetings will be conducted in parallel in forms of online and offline. Also, there will be meetings with leaders of Da Nang and tours to visit the city’s new smart urban areas.

It is known that five units with digital transformation achievements are representing Viet Nam at the event. They include Da Nang and such large telecommunications technology groups as FPT and VNPT.
