Da Nang FPT Complex recognised as a dedicated IT Park
A ceremony was held in Da Nang on Friday to mark the handover of a certificate recognising the FPT Complex in Ngu Hanh Son District’s Hoa Hai Ward as a dedicated information technology (IT) park.

According to the decision, the FPT Complex is eligible for accessing the preferential policies specified in Decree No. 154/2013/ND-CP and other preferential ones applicable to the dedicated IT park in accordance with the provisions of law.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung affirmed that the information technology industry was identified as a spearhead industry in the coming time. He highlighted the great contribution made by dedicated IT parks nationwide for the information and communication industry in particular and the national socio-economic development in general.
The total revenue of concentrated IT parks in 2022 reached about VND36,000 billion, accounting for nearly 16% of the total revenue of the entire software industry in Viet Nam.
It can be seen that, on the country’s information and communication map, besides the two big cities of Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang is an information technology centre. Da Nang has three operating IT parks, making a significant contribution to the development of the local information and communication industry.

He highlighted the significance of the recognition of the FPT Complex as a centralised IT Park in affirming its role as a leading enterprise in the information technology industry. In the coming time, the Ministry of Information and Communications is committed to continuing to accompany the business.
He hoped that through becoming a centralised IT Park, the FPT Complex will promote Da Nang’s socio-economic development, especially turning the city into a technology centre in Viet Nam and in the world as a whole.
In her speech delivered at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen informed that the FPT Complex was the third dedicated IT Park in the city and the fifth of its kind the country.
The FPT Complex is the first centralised IT Park invested with capital from enterprises operating in the field of software and digital content services, where resources are gathered to serve training and software production, and provide information technology products and services.
The FPT Complex will be the place where "Made in Da Nang" products reach out to the international market in order to promote the development of the digital technology industry for the country in general and Da Nang in particular.

The fact that the FPT Complex becomes a centralised IT Park will help FPT and its partners create room for development, increase investment attraction, attract customers, investors and partners, and improve the position and brand of Da Nang's information technology industry, thereby contributing to building the digital technology industry into the city’s key economic sector.
Mrs. Yen pledged that the municipal government will make every effort to create a favourable business investment environment so as to retain long-term investors and attract new potential investors.
Also at the ceremony, the representative of FPT informed that, especially in the field of software export, FPT has grown at an average rate of more than 20% per year and created more than 6,000 jobs, contributing to bringing high-quality human resources from other localities to Da Nang.
FPT is training more than 17,500 students, aiming to provide IT human resources for the city. Besides, FPT has implemented many projects in Da Nang such as the overall management system for 12 out of 16 city hospitals, and deploying city traffic portal.
