According to the list of key projects, creating motivation for the Da Nang socio-economic development in the 2021 - 2025 period, there are 54 projects invested by the national and municipal budget.

However, till date, there have been still many projects behind schedule compared to the initial requirements, in which mainly due to problems with site clearance work. Faced with that situation, the city’s authorities have directed solutions to remove obstacles to site clearance and speed up the progress of projects to fully tap investment resources.

Outstandingly, focus is placed on accelerating the implementation of infrastructure projects for socio-economic development, especially dynamic, key and regional linkages such as the Lien Chieu megaport, the expansion of national highway 14B, a bypass south of Hai Van along a Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section, a road connecting the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park with the North-South Expressway.

Relevant agencies are coordinating with national agencies to solve problems arising in the process of putting the Da Nang Software Park No. 2 into operation and completing procedures for selecting investors to develop infrastructure of the Hoa Ninh Industrial Park.

According to Director of the Da Nang Department of Transport Bui Hong Trung, the transport sector has a number of ongoing projects, such as the development of parking lots at 51A Ly Tu Trong and 172 Nguyen Chi Thanh.

The ground handover and the installation of boundary markers is in progress. The Land Fund Development Centre is carrying out procedures to auction land for parking development according to regulations.

Along with that, the Viet Nam Expressway Development Investment Corporation (VEC) is reporting to the competent authorities to allocate the capital source and adjust the project to continue the construction of Tuy Loan intersection under the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway project.

In addition, the municipal Department of Transport is implementing investment preparation procedures, as a basis for starting the construction of the National Highway 14B renovation and upgrading project in 2023.

Particularly for Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan section of the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway project, currently, the relevant units are carrying out the survey of the technical design and site clearance steps. It is expected that in the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2023, the contractor will be selected and work will start on the project.

Work is now on track on such key projects as building a connecting route from the Lien Chieu megaport to Ho Chi Minh Road, connecting the Da Nang International Airport with the west and upgrading infrastructure to improve the exploitation capacity of the airport.

Notably, a number of projects are being implemented on schedule such as the Lien Chieu megaport project, Phase 2 of upgrading Ngo Quyen - Ngu Hanh Son route and West Ring Road 2.

In particular, a number of projects using capital sources outside the city's budget are also being urgently implemented. Included are the relocation of the Da Nang Railway Station and urban redevelopment and the construction of a logistics service centre in Hoa Vang District.

Work is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2023 on a logistics service centre in Hoa Vang District and the expansion of Terminal T1 and the construction of a cargo terminal at the Da Nang airport.

The Da Nang Department of Transport is making preparations for deploying these 2 key projects using investment capital outside the city's budget.
