Located in the heart of the Nam O fishing village in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, the Nam O eco-tourism area project has an area of 25ha of land adjacent to 3km of coastline and 10ha of beach.

Developed by the Trung Thuy Group, the project will feature a high-class utility system with many impressive scale and architectural items such as hotels, apartments, and beachfront villas, promising to form a unique tourist destination on the Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An heritage route.

Speaking at the project kick-start ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Trung Thuy Group Duong Thanh Thuy remarked her group first set foot in Nam O village in 2009. Since then, it has been making great efforts to accompany locals to build Da Nang into an inviting destination on the international tourist map as well as to change people's lives for the better.

She affirmed that by taking advantage of the tourism strength of the Central Heritage Road, the Trung Thuy Group and Nam O villagers will together turn this place into a must-visit destination for tourists in the journey to discover heritages of the Central Viet Nam.

Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh expressed that, once complete, the project will provide locals and domestic and foreign tourists with a good opportunity to experience the spacious and beautiful appearance of the Nam O beach and listen to the wonderful stories of this land.

Along with that, the Trung Thuy Group-funded career transition assistance programme will help create a stable source of income for locals from tourism activities, thereby promoting the local socio-economic development in a sustainable manner.

Under the programme, the Trung Thuy Group will donate 50 snack carts, totalling more than VND500 million, to Nam O villagers. The intention is to help locals to actively have more sources of income, not completely dependent on the traditional fishing activities as well as to form a snack street along a public park at the end of Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, hereby contributing to creating a new destination for visitors to Da Nang.

Also at the ceremony, the Trung Thuy Group presented 50 gifts to disadvantaged households living in Nam O area with a total value of over VND600 million.

Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary cum the municipal People's Council Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet visited the snack street in a public park at the end of Nguyen Tat Thanh Street.
