The Da Nang Department of Transport said on Wednesday that the Municipal Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects is coordinating with a consulting unit to make a pre-feasibility study report for the project on relocating the city's railway station and urban redevelopment.

It is expected that a pre-feasibility study report for the project on relocating the city's railway station and urban redevelopment will be completed in the fourth quarter of the year.

The project on relocating Da Nang’s railway station and urban redevelopment has been updated in the railway network plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision towards 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1769 on October 19, 2021.

In September 2022, the municipal Department of Transport issued a decision approving the results of selecting a contractor to prepare a pre-feasibility study report for the project. As a result, the Investment Consulting and Transport Construction Joint Stock Company is the winning bidder with a package worth more than VND2.8 billion.

Under the contract, the bidding package will be carried out in 18 months since the signing date.

The consulting unit will cooperate with the Municipal Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects and relevant local units to compile dossiers and submit them to competent agencies for approval in accordance with current regulations of the State.

The Management Board will be responsible for organising the implementation, and managing the quality, progress, acceptance and payment of the project in accordance with the current regulations of the State.

It is known that according to Da Nang’s adjusted master plan to 2030 with a vision to 2045 approved by the Prime Minister, the city’s railway station will be relocated to Hoa Vang District.
