Da Nang eyes average annual GRDP growth of 9.5 - 10% by 2030
The Da Nang government has issued a plan to implement action programmes in an active response to an important resolution adopted by the Party Central Committee on promoting industrialisation and modernisation of Viet Nam until 2030, with a vision to 2045 in the city.

Under the plan’s target, by 2030, the average annual growth rate of the Da Nang gross social product (GRDP) will reach 9.5 - 10% per year.
The GRDP per capita at current prices is around $8,000 - 8,500. The contribution of total factor productivity (TFP) to economic growth by 2030 is about 50 - 55%. The annual growth rate of value added (VA) of the industry in the 2021 - 2030 period will reach 12%, of which over 9.5% is recorded in the 2021 - 2025 period and 14.5%/ in the 2026 - 2030 period. The rate of trained workers with degrees and certificates is 66%.
With a vision to 2045, Da Nang will become one of the major centres of the country in research, development, production of electronic components, telecommunications and information technology, pharmaceutical production, textile, leather and footwear industries at the stages of creating high added value.
The city will prioritise the development of new generations of information technology and telecommunications industries, digital technology promotion, automation, high-end equipment, biotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI).
The proportion of industry - construction in the city's economic structure in the 2031 - 2050 period will reach over 35%, developing Da Nang into a large, ecological and smart city, a hi-tech industrial, start-up and innovation centre, a regional international financial centre and a livable coastal city of Asia class.
