Da Nang to focus capital for key and motivational projects
Da Nang will focus on carrying out solutions to accelerate the disbursement of the public investment capital plan in 2023, especially in the last months of the year, in a bid to promote the implementation of its socio-economic development goals and tasks.

Top priority will be given to allocating capital for projects that have already had a decision on approving the final settlement, projects expected to be completed in 2023, and key and dynamic ones.
According to data provided by the city’s Statistics Office, as of July, the investment capital realised from the State budget managed by the locality is estimated at VND2,816 billion, up 6.4% over the same period and representing approximately 45 % against the assigned capital plan. In July alone, the capital reached VND554.7 billion.
In an effort to complete the plan in 2023, the city has taken many effective measures, including asking investors and project management units to make detailed plans, monitor the progress of the construction, and report periodically to promptly solve problems arising during the implementation.
The relevant units closely coordinate each other to handle documents and procedures, and at the same improve the efficiency in the process of planning, appraisal and approval.
The site clearance councils at district-levels are now speeding up the progress of compensation and clearance in accordance with the construction progress of the contractors.
Accordingly, a number of key projects have construction progress expedited such as the first stage of the Thanh Khe District Medical Center reaching VND109.1 billion, equivalent to 27.4% of the total investment; the 2nd stage of the upgrade of Da Nang Centre for Biotechnology, including Tissue Culture Facility achieving 50.9% of the total investment; and the project on upgrading and embellishing the 2 September Peace Monument, and renovating and expanding the March 29 Square reaching 9.9% of the total investment with VND21.1 billion.
