A programme on promoting Nam O fish sauce, One Commune, One Product (OCOP) and featured products of Da Nang's Lien Chieu District officially kicked off on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, on Friday.

Chairman of the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee Ngo Xuan Thang, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong, and leaders of some government departments, agencies and sectors made their attendance at the opening ceremony of the event.

The programme features 40 booths displaying and introducing OCOP, typical commercial, rural industrial and start-up products produced by units, unions, enterprises and business households in the locality.

Additionally, it supports trade promotion, stimulates domestic consumption, contributes to well implementing the 'Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods' campaign, and acts as a bridge to bring products to consumers and distributors.

Within the framework of the programme, there are a number of exciting activities such a a painting exhibition; a talk show on promoting the development of the Nam O fish sauce traditional craft village, and introducing economic development potentials and cooperation in Lien Chieu District; demonstration of the process of making fish sauce; and cultural exchange activities.

The programme runs until August 13, 2023.
