Promoting Da Nang women's entrepreneurship

The Da Nang Women's Union on Thursday organised the Startup Women's Festive Day 2023 themed ‘Create entrepreneurship - Green connection - Green action’. Also present at the event were Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong and the representatives of local agencies.

The event featured the display of products produced and traded by Da Nang women, along with a photo catalog introducing 47 business units and products created by Da Nang women.

The event aimed to support members to promote their products to a wide range of customers in the city, and to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship of local women, thereby contributing to improving women's economic ability and developing the city's startup ecosystem.

At the same time, heed was paid to raising awareness of environmental protection, replicating effective models and improving the quality of community life among the members of the Da Nang Women's Union.

In addition, at the festival, there were contests during competitiors showed off their knowledge about the environment and climate change and presented ideas about recycled products that can be used in life, and the auction of recycled products invested by the district-level Women's Unions chapters. 

On this occasion, the Da Nang Women's Union gave means of livelihood to 7 women members of poor households across the city with a total budget of VND 50 million.

In the morning of the same day, the Da Nang Women's Union held the final round of the 2023 Women's Entrepreneurship Idea Contest, with 35 entries.

Ideas and projects are products from Da Nang women-led startups, many of which have achieved OCOP (One Commune - One Product), applying technology and digital technology to production and business activities. There were 10 out of the total 35 ideas that made it to the final round. The organisers awarded 1 first, 2 second, 3 third and 4 consolation prizes to excellent startup ideas and projects.
