Within the framework of the annual Da Nang Startup and Innovation Festival (SURF) 2023 event, on Friday morning, the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology and the Viet Nam Innovation Network in South Korea (VINK) launched Da Nang - Seoul innovation startup space with aim of connecting the innovation startup ecosystems of Da Nang and the South Korean city.

Accordingly, the Da Nang - Seoul innovation startup space has a mission to bring Da Nang's startup projects to the international market, specifically South Korea through startup training and coaching programmes from the Global Startup Immigration Centre under the South Korean Ministry of Justice and the startup support ecosystem of the DCAMP (Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs).

In this space, VINK will support legal procedures for immigration and business in South Korea as well as connect with South Korean investment funds and businesses. At the same time, the Da Nang - Seoul innovation startup space is also a place for South Korean businesses and investment funds to access information about startups in Da Nang.

Startups will be provided with a co-working space fully equipped with modern office equipment and special support to connect with programmes, policies and partners in Seoul.

The Da Nang - Seoul innovation startup space is located in Font 1 Building, Mapo District, Seoul and in the Viet Nam Innovation Hub building at 179 Tran Hung Dao, Son Tra District, Da Nang.

Also in the programme was a signing ceremony between the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology and the Academy of Science, Technology and Innovation under the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology on implementing the project to develop Da Nang into an innovation city joining UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

The event also witnesses deals between the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology and VINK on developing an innovative startup ecosystem and with the Da Nang Women's Union on scientific and technological support for women starting businesses and women doing business in the city.
