Da Nang - top destination for famous international tourism brands
According to statistics released by the local tourism industry, during the 4-day-long break for National Day holiday, Da Nang's total tourism revenue reached at nearly VND915 billion. This figure shows that Da Nang is still an irresistible destination to domestic and international tourists.
Thanks to its convenient infrastructure and modern transportation systems, the central coastal city has attracted a large number of investors involving tourism real estate, significantly contributing to enhancing the city's tourism brand.

Many resorts have won prestigious awards
In recent years, Da Nang has seen significant changes in terms of urban appearance and landscape. Many coastal roads get new 'coats' thanks to a boom in the number of large-scale resorts and hotels.
The accommodation system has developed strongly in both quantity and quality. Da Nang now has about 1,287 tourist accommodation establishments with more than 46,767 rooms in total.
After a period of efforts to restore tourism and attract tourists, about 1,190 out of the 1,287 tourist accommodation establishments resumed operations after the COVID-19 pandemic had been completely brought under control.
At present, many hotels and resorts in the city are operated and managed by famous international corporations such as Novotel, Grand Mercure and Pullman under the management of the Accor Group; InterContinental and Crowne Plaza under the IHG Group; Fusion Maia and Fusion Suites under the Serenity Holdings; Grandvrio Danang under the Japan Route Inn Group; Risemount under the SBH Group - Spain; Sheraton and Four Points by Sheraton under the Marriott, Hilton; Wink Hotels under the joint venture between Indochina Capital and Kajima Group, Japan; and Mikazuki Corporation.
Many brands have achieved prestigious and impressive awards. Specifically, the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was named by the World Travel Awards (WTA) as ‘Asia's Leading Luxury Resort’ for 4 consecutive years from 2014-2017. In 2021, it was voted by readers of American magazine Condé Nast Traveler (CNTraveler) as Asia's Leading Resort.
Also, the Naman Retreat Resort claimed the ‘Asia's Leading Retreat Resort’ title for 2 consecutive years in 2016 and 2017.
The Furama Danang Resort was voted as a ‘Luxury Coastal Resort’ and a ‘Luxury Wedding Venue’ by readers of the World Luxury Hotel Awards page.
The BRG Group's Sheraton Grand Danang Resort was honoured by the World Luxury Awards 2022 as ‘The World's Best Luxury Beach Resort’, and ‘Viet Nam's Best Luxury Resort Restaurant’.
According to tourism experts, the appearance of the aforementioned international brands in the city proves the attraction of Da Nang as well as the great potential of the local tourism industry, hereby contributing to creating a name for Da Nang tourism.

Restructuring sustainable customer sources
As one of the new brands in Da Nang with 2 hotels located on Tran Phu and Tran Hung Dao streets, the Wink Holtels representative shared that investors have confidence in the great potential of Da Nang. The city is an ideal place for business travellers and tourists thanks to the convenient positions of its center, beaches and tourist attractions.
Mr. Nguyen Nhu Nam, General Director of the Viet Nam Travelmart JSC, acknowledged that the presence of major international hotel brands in Da Nang shows the attraction of a potential and worthy investment destination.
International corporations often manage hotels with high-end brands, and the product line of this customer market is also very high consistent with the city's orientation.
According to Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association Cao Tri Dung, the presence of major international brands has contributed to bringing a new face to the city's tourism as well as diversifying tourism services.
Da Nang is always one of the leading localities nationwide in making a difference in the tourism product system. Currently, Da Nang's tourism product system stands out in terms of high-end beach resorts, island ecology, M.I.C.E tourism, urban tourism and others, he added.
To lure more tourists, the city prioritises restructuring its tourist source in a more sustainable direction, with a focus on increasing tourists’ spending. Additionally, importance will be attached to improving the quality of destination services and exploiting service groups with high added value to extend tourists' length of stay.
A representative of the municipal Department of Tourism said that the change in appearance of Da Nang today is thanks to the city’s special care in developing synchronously infrastructure and transportation systems, as well as issuing supporting policies and mechanisms, thereby attracting many corporations and strategic investors involving tourism at both home and abroad.
Besides, the city has upgraded and developed new tourism products, and organised many unique and large-scale events. In the near future, the city's tourism industry will focus on attracting large-scale cultural, entertainment, sports and tourism events; and at the same time, complete synchronous policies and infrastructure to attract world-class tourism brands to invest in a bid to create new and attractive tourism products for Da Nang.
