Da Nang welcomes about 254,000 visitors during National Day holiday break
During the four-day-long break from September 1- 4, Da Nang welcomed a large number of visitors to travel, visit, and have great experience.

Visitor numbers increase by 6.3%
According to a report released by the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the total number of visitors to Da Nang during the National Day holiday reached about 254,000, an increase of 6.3% over the same period last year. Nearly 78,900 of them were international visitors, whilst the remaining more than 175,100 were domestic tourists.
The total tourism revenue was estimated at around VND915 billion. Tourists are mainly solo travelers, accounting for about 85% of the total. The number of guests served by local accommodation establishments was about 75,500, an increase of 19.7% over the same period in 2022.
The average occupancy rate of hotel rooms was 50-55%, with the largest number of guests staying on September 1 and 2.
The number of tourists using river boat tours during the 4-day holiday reached about 11,300, up 38% against 2022. The total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang from September 1 to 4 was 492, a rise of 66 compared to 2022, including 293 domestic and 199 international flights. On average, Da Nang received 73 domestic and 49 international flights daily.
During the holiday, tourist attractions across the city welcomed a large number of visitors.
Specifically, the Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area was one of tourist sites recording the highest number of visitors with more than 47,000.
A representative of the Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area said that the site decorated 100 national red flags with five-pointed yellow stars along the Cau Vang (Golden Bridge) with a total length of 148.6m in a bid to bring a new atmosphere to serve tourists.
Similarly, the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park welcomed about 20,000 visitors, down 5% compared to the same period last year.
Other tourist attractions recorded high number of visitors during the public holiday. In particular, the Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa received about 12,000 visitors, and the Marble Mountains special national scenic spot around 21,000 visitors.
Domestic and international tourists also gathered in large numbers to shop and use culinary services at the Con and Han markets, and surrounding areas.
According to representatives of some travel agencies, the current travel trend of guests has changed when choosing to travel on their own, using family cars to travel.
This time is about to enter the new school year, so there are mainly groups of retail guests, family guests, friends and close movements. Many locals and tourists come to new places, community-based resorts, and nature-oriented camping to experience and find new and different atmospheres.

Variety of exciting cultural and artistic activities
A variety of cultural and arts activities were organised across Da Nang to meet the entertainment needs of both locals and visitors during the National Day holiday, with the highlights of the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival 2023, and a traditional boat race on the Han River.
On the evening of September 2, the city-based Trung Vuong Theater hosted an art programme entitled ‘Historical Autumn’ at the APEC Sculpture Garden.
Previously, on the evening of August 28 and September 1, the theater organised art programmes with the same theme to serve the people in two communes of Hoa Phu and Hoa Bac in Hoa Vang District.
Also, there are two exhibitions themed ‘Beauty of Da Nang’ and ‘Young Fine Arts - Da Nang 2023’ respectively.
Furthermore, visitors to Da Nang on the occasion had the opportunity to experience the An Thuong Pedestrian Street and Night Market, the Son Tra Night Market, Han River boat tours, and street music and magic programmes.
Currently, the city continues to organise a number of unique cultural and artistic activities to serve the needs of residents and visitors. The most highlight will be the Viet Nam - South Korea Festival 2023 slated from September 7 - 9 at the East Sea Park.
