Smart farming technology is a new development trend of modern agriculture, using electronic devices, telecommunications, computers and artificial intelligence (AI) to monitor, control and optimise the farming process so as to improve production efficiency, save resources and protect the environment.

In the context of the burgeoning 4.0 industrial revolution, smart farming technology is a potential and attractive field for students and young people with innovative startup ideas in agriculture.

The workshop aimed to help young people better understand smart farming technology and how to start their own innovative businesses in this lucrative field. At the same time, 4.0 Industry farmers also promoted mutual exchanges of knowledge, skills, experience and lessons in applying and developing smart farming technology.

Hi-tech smart agriculture requires human resources to meet specialised technical needs. It is a combination of digital technology, biotechnology and information technology (IT).

To promote the development of sustainable smart agriculture, optimally promote the advantages and potential of indigenous resources, abundant young resources and the innovative startup support ecosystem in Da Nang, it is a must-do to enhance connection and cooperation among managers - scientists - manufacturers - farmers - entrepreneurs. This is an essential element in the process of building a comprehensive, effective and sustainable agricultural production and distribution chain in the city.

Therefore, the workshop helped create opportunities for manufacturers and entrepreneurs to access technology, encouraging the expansion of effective and modern startup and innovation models in agriculture, contributing to creating a favourable environment and encouraging students and other young people to start innovative businesses in agriculture.

Also at this event, successful agricultural startup models were also introduced. Among them were hi-tech mushroom production; Aquaponic model combined with organic; Cordyceps mushrooms; drone applications and the goal of digitizing agricultural data; models that produce products from agricultural materials.
