Given carefully-made welcome plans, security and order remained stable at bus and train stations, thus helping domestic and international tourists secure their comfortable stay in this central coastal Vietnamese hub of tourism.

As recorded at the Da Nang Railway Station, the number of passengers climbed up by about 60% from normal days.  Given the growing need to travel during the National Day break, the final holiday this year,  the railway industry has increased 2 pairs of trains running en route North - South, in addition to 4 pairs of trains running on a daily basis.

On the first day of the holiday break, the Da Nang Railway Station welcomed about 4,000 passengers getting on and off the train. In its efforts to best support passengers, the agency has arranged additional cargo and luggage departments to help passengers, especially the elderly, disabled, pregnant women and those carrying a lot of luggage, to ensure that no one misses the train.

Likewise, the Da Nang Inter-provincial Coach Station was also crowded in a bustling vibe on the first day of the holiday break. Transport units have proactively planned to increase the number of vehicles to serve the sudden increase in passengers.

Preliminary statistics released by the Da Nang Transport and Bus Station Management Joint Stock Company, the number of bus tickets sold before the holiday has reached 70 - 80%. On the first day of the break, the number of passengers arriving at the bus station went up by nearly 80% as compared to normal days.

General Director of the Da Nang Transport and Bus Station Management Joint Stock Company Nguyen Loi said that through statistics of bus routes from Da Nang to neighbouring provinces, the number of tickets sold has run out because people returned to their hometowns or took short trips and vacations.

Faced with the sudden increase in travel demand, the company has planned to coordinate with functional forces and transport units to ensure security and order, environmental sanitation, and fire and explosion prevention at the bus station to ensure highest safety for visitors.

According to the Da Nang International Airport, during this year’s National Day break, there were nearly 750 domestic flights to and from the Da Nang International Airport with the total number of passengers increasing by more than 60% compared to previous years.

At the domestic terminal of the Da Nang airport, many passengers from all over the country took flights to Da Nang for travel. At the same time, many people from Da Nang checked in to board flights to Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong and other destinations nationwide.

Viet Nam's National Day break, the final holiday this year, will take place on September 1 - 4.

This year, the government chose to begin the holiday one day before the official day on September 2 so that it would be spaced apart from the first day of the new school year on September 5. As the holiday will fall on the weekend, it will be a four-day holiday in total as workers will have an extra Monday off.
