This initiative was aimed at attracting sustainable investment into Viet Nam in tandem with fostering favourable conditions for domestic businesses to engage in the global value chain.

This year’s programme attracted 758 technology solutions from many countries all over the world. A total 12 solutions catered to three key target groups, namely large corporations, innovative SMEs and startups, demonstrating a sustainable and problem-solving approach.

These solutions will be honoured at the inauguration ceremony of the NIC's operating facility at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park and the Viet Nam International Innovation Exhibition in October 2023.

It is known that the best solutions will have the opportunity to receive a total prize worth up to US$ 300,000, along with comprehensive support packages for capacity building, product research and development, workspace, and promotion solutions and market expansion.

In particular, the winning solutions will receive comprehensive support packages and partake in a series of activities, piloting solutions across different cities and provinces in Viet Nam.

The Viet Nam Innovation Challenge 2024 programme, themed 'Innovation with Businesses to Promote the Semiconductor Industry and Smart Manufacturing to Go Global', has officially been launched.

The programme aims to encourage joint efforts and fresh ideas, leveraging the semiconductor industry and smart manufacturing's potential for outstanding success, contributing to the country's sustainable development.
