The event was attended by municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh, People's Council Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son, People's Council Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, and Chairman of the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee Ngo Xuan Thang, along with leaders of departments, branches, district-level People's Committees and more than 300 businesspeople.
On behalf of the city's leaders, Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh sent congratulations to the business community on the occasion of the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day.
He added with the active support of the Central Government, and the great contributions of the domestic and foreign business community, the Party, government and people of Da Nang have proactively seized opportunities to take many solutions for the sake of developing modern urban infrastructure, improving investment environment, and being a good role as the growth nucleus of the key economic zone in Central Viet Nam. Amid countless difficulties, the city has made efforts and achieved certain results in the first 9 months of 2023 with significant contributions from the business community.
Mr. Minh highlighted huge efforts made by the city’s business community in demonstrating a good sense of social responsibility, actively participating in hunger eradication and poverty reduction programmes, and supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics.
Vice Chairman Minh took the opportunity to ask business associations, and entrepreneurs, to continue to uphold the sense of responsibility and promote their role in the community. Heed should be on promoting digital transformation in businesses; proactively innovating production and business models, restructuring businesses associated with green and digital economic development; taking the lead on the socio-economic development front and strengthening connection and solidarity in the business community.
He affirmed that the city's leaders always created the best conditions for businesses to stabilise and develop production and business activities.
Mr. Le Tri Hai, Chairman of the Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs’ Association, said that due to the impact of inflation in the world as well as other impacts, many businesses in the city were facing many difficulties because they do not have enough money, orders and fixed costs.
He suggested the municipal authorities issue more specific solutions and policies to help businesses gradually overcome difficulties.
