As observed by our reporters, the bustling working atmosphere has been recorded at the construction site of the shared infrastructure of the Lien Chieu Port project, with the involvement of more than 200 workers and 150 trucks and machines.

Contractors have both accelerated the construction progress and implemented plans to ensure safety for people and vehicles because the city is entering the rainy and stormy season.

According to Director of the Da Nang Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Le Thanh Hung, in terms of dikes and breakwater items, the installation of a geotechnical mesh with the strength of 1000/200KN/m has been completed. 210,392m3 out of the 245,000m3 of the foundation pit of the breakwater systems has been dredged. 300m out of the 1,170m of embankment has been built.

As for the coastal road project connecting to the Lien Chieu Port,  the consortium consisting of the DACINCO Construction Investment Limited Company, the Phu Vinh Construction Company Limited, the Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment JSC, the Xuan Quang Construction JSC, the Nhat Huy Construction JSC, and the Viet Anh Investment JSC are committed to mobilising maximum resources to carry out the project, aiming to ensuure compliance with construction processes and technical regulations, technical and aesthetic quality according to approved design documents, safety, efficiency and environmental hygiene.

Work started on shared infrastructure of the Lien Chieu Port project in December 2022 with an area of 450 hectares.

According to the plan, the shared infrastructure construction will feature dikes and breakwater systems (1,170m); navigation channel, turnaround places and marine signaling systems for cargo ships of up to 100,000DWT (6,000-8,000TEU); road traffic system connecting the port; and electricity and water supply infrastructure and ancillary works synchronously to the port gate.

According to the Da Nang Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects, the construction cost of the shared infrastructure category is VND3,426.3 billion.

The project is expected to be carried out within 1,380 days by the consortium comprising the Phu Xuan Construction and Consulting JSC, the Lung Lo Construction Corporation, the Truong Son Construction Corporation, the DACINCO Construction Investment Company Limited, and the Xuan Quang Construction JSC.
