On Friday, the ExCarbon JSC, a voluntary carbon credit trading platform, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Tay Giang Forest Garden Food JSC and the Geeg Net-Zero JSC at the Viet Nam Innovation Hub based in Da Nang’s Son Tra District.

The cooperation programme aims to promote activities related to carbon credits and transfer of emission rights.

The parties will cooperate comprehensively in greenhouse gas consulting training, and carbon credit listing and trading, in order to encourage low emissions and environmental protection. This will promote green solutions and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, thereby contributing to reducing global climate change and protecting the ecosystem and environment.

According to the three sides, one of the solutions to reduce carbon emissions is to plant and protect forests which are a habitat for thousands of animal and plant species and contributes greatly to carbon absorption.

On the other hand, carbon credit trading is an important tool in encouraging businesses to participate in climate change activities.

Businesses can buy carbon credits from projects such as afforestation or upgrading environmentally friendly technology to offset the amount of CO2 emitted, thereby creating incentives to reduce emissions and promote sustainable living.
