Da Nang officials visit Intel Corporation in United States
Within the framework of their ongoing investment promotion activities in the United States, a group of Da Nang officials led by Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang on Friday morning (local time) paid a working visit to Intel Corporation headquartered in Santa Clara, California.

The Dang Nang delegation was hosted by Mr. Gilberto Vargas, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, General Manager of Cloud and Enterprise Sales at Intel Sales & Marketing Group during their visit to Intel Corporation.
During their meeeting with Da Nang officials, Intel Corporation’s leaders applauded Viet Nam for its attractive business environment and investment climate, especially in the context of the upgrade of Viet Nam - US relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
Intel Corporation’s leaders also remarked that Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, has emerged as an attractive investment destination for multinational corporations like Intel.
The Intel Products Vietnam (IPV) factory is the largest manufacturing, assembly and testing facility in Intel's assembly and testing network.

Intel Corporation’s leaders said that the company is bringing artificial intelligence everywhere with Intel Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions as AI gives rise to the 'Siliconomy,' a new era of global expansion driven by the magic of silicon and software.
Intel leaders said that the company is launching Digital Readiness Program (DRP) in association with various governments, civil societies, and academic and industrial partners in 25 countries (including India). At the heart of this initiative is Intel’s intention ‘to create technology that improves the life of every person on the plane. As part of this programme, Intel is committed to joining hands with 30 countries to provide digital access to 30,000 institutions and upskill 30 million people by the end of 2030 for career opportunities of the current and future workspace. Especially, Intel’s DRP is being mainly implemented in 4 countries, namely the United States, Germany, South Korea and Viet Nam, in which, Viet Nam is the only one developing country that has been chosen to participate in this program.
Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang highly appreciated Intel's contributions to boosting the digital capabilities of worldwide people, as well as promoting digital transformation in developing countries.
The Da Nang top leader also remarked that Da Nang boasts a qualified workforce, synchronous telecommunications system, and helpful government, making it an attractive place for semiconductor makers.
Mr. Quang took the opportunity to invite Intel's leaders to visit Da Nang to discuss in more detail in the cooperation between the city and the company on training Da Nang’s human resources as part of Intel's Artificial Intelligence for the Future (AI for Future) program.

Mr. Quang also asked for Intel’s support to build a high performance computing center and a laboratory to serve the assembly and testing of the semiconductors in Da Nang.
Intel Corporation’s leaders expressed agreement with Da Nang officials’s proposals, and they will provide support to the city to realise these proposals as soon as possible.
Mr. Quang pledged that the municipal government would create the most favorable conditions for Intel Corporation to sucessfully implement the agreed contents between Da Nang and the company during their meeting, thereby contributing to realizing the goal of making Da Nang one of the most attractive investment destinations in Viet Nam for semiconductor makers.
Prior to their meeting with Intel Corporation’s leaders, the Da Nang delegation paid a field trip to the Intel Museum located at Intel's headquarters in Santa Clara, California, to learn more about Intel's history, the science behind the semiconductor industry and much more.

The Intel Museum has exhibits of Intel's products and history, as well as semiconductor technology in general. The museum is open weekdays and Saturdays except holidays. It is open to the public with free admission.
The museum was started in the early 1980s as an internal project at Intel to record its history. It opened to the public in 1992, later being expanded in 1999 to triple its size and add a store.
It has exhibits about how semiconductor chip technology works, both as self-paced exhibits and by reservation as grade-school educational programs
