Canada-based CATALYSTE+ organisation and the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations, on Thursday, inked a Memorandum of Understanding on building support capacity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the city for the 2024 - 2026 period.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of the municipal Union of Friendship Organisations Nguyen Ngoc Binh hoped that the two units will have more collaborative activities in the near future.

He also took the opportunity to ask for support from CATALYSTE+ to accompany SMEs in Da Nang's trending fields such as semiconductor industry and digital transformation.

Under the deal, during the 3-year period, CATALYSTE+ will consult and support the capacity building for SMEs in Da Nang through training, exchanging management experience, and developing businesses operating in the fields of science and technology, natural resources and environment, digital transformation, tourism, restaurants, hotels, agriculture, nutrition, healthcare, agroforestry, and education and training.

Priority will be given to supporting gender equality goals and promoting economic empowerment for women. Therefore, the priority subjects will be female business owners, female startups, and female workers.

In addition, the CATALYSTE+ organisation will introduce and support the development of humanitarian and charitable programmes and projects for the poor, including children, in the city, as well as mobilise financial resources for programmes and projects.

CATALYSTE+ is a Canadian foreign non-governmental organisation operating in the field of supporting capacity building for SMEs operating in Da Nang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ha Noi, Binh Thuan and Ho Chi Minh City.
