Construction of Quang Da Bridge facilitates traffic connection
Bidding procedures for selecting construction contractors for the construction the Quang Da Bridge project across the Yen River connecting Da Nang and neighbouring Quang Nam province have been completed, and work is expected to start on the project soon.

This project is within the framework of a cooperation programme between Da Nang and Quang Nam Province. The project, with a total investment cost of VND 274.78 billion from the city budget (excluding costs of site clearance for the section in Quang Nam Province) aims to help gradually improve the transportation network in the region, promoting socio-economic development between the two localities.
The new bridge and its approach roads have a total length of 1,408km, including a distance of over 1,1km running through Da Nang. The new bridge will start at the intersection of National Highway 14B which runs through Phu Son Nam Village, Hoa Khuong Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang and it will end in Dien Tien Commune, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province.
In particular, Quang Da Bridge has a length of 205m, a width of 22m, including 4 lanes and the 2m - wide median strip. One road leading to the bridge in Da Nang has a road surface width of 34m, including 4 lanes and a 9m - wide median strip whilst the other belonging to Quang Nam tertiary is about 100m long a 27m wide, including 4 lanes.
Developed by the Management Board of Construction and Investment Projects for Agriculture and Rural Development Works, the project is scheduled to be implemented in the 2022 - 2026 period.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Hien, a man living in residential group No. 7, Phu Son Nam Village, Hoa Khuong Commune expressed: “Our people have been waiting for the start date of this project for a long time, now we know that it will be implemented in December 2023, so extremely excited. Hopefully, the completion of the project will shorten the travel time between Hoa Khuong Commune (Da Nang) and Dien Tien Commune (Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province).
With the same excited mood, Ms. Le Thi Suong, a dweller in Dien Tien Commune said that once the bridge is completed, it will make travelling during the flood season no longer as difficult as before. In addition, more convenient traffic will contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of the two localities.
