Near Christmas, the Da Nang market for decorative and fashion items and products such as pine trees, clothes, Santa hats, hanging ropes, baubles and Christmas lights... becomes very vibrant. According to records, many stores selling decorative accessories on Ong Ich Khiem, Le Duan, Nguyen Van Thoai, Ton Duc Thang, Phan Chau Trinh and Dien Bien Phu streets have displayed products for Christmas celebrations and attracted many customer segments.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, Tan Chinh Ward, Thanh Khe District said that this year the stores imported more diverse and abundant products. Just decorative accessories, Santa Claus costumes, and Christmas hairpins alone have dozens of types with different prices, materials, and styles, making it easy for her to choose the product she wants.

Pine tree products are diverse in colour, size, and price to suit each customer's needs. Snow pines and Christmas light poles are often sold out locally at many places selling Christmas decoration accessories in the area.

Mr. Tran Quang Minh, the manager of Thang Bom Store, Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, said that if customers want to buy snow pine or light poles, they must order very early because the quantity is scarce, even if they are imported more than every year but the facilities are still not enough to serve guests during the holidays.

Prices for pine trees with small sizes ranging from 0.5-1.2 meters/tree, suitable for decorating small, narrow spaces for families, apartments, and shops, range from VND 250,000 to more than VND1 million/tree. Large pine trees suitable for restaurants and hotels cost from VND 2 million or more/tree, depending on design and size.

In particular, Christmas light poles are chosen by many businesses and stores at prices ranging from more than VND1 million/product. At the same time, stores also import small pine trees to meet customers’ needs. The price of a pine tree decorated with accessories hovers from VND 200,000 - VND 300,000/tree.

As for other decorative items such as tinsel wire cost from VND 5,000 - VND 35,000 /strand; laurel wreaths from VND 150,000 - VND 400,000/wreath; decorative balls from VND 3,000 - VND 20,000 /ball; string lights VND 15,000 - VND 40,000 /string; decorative letters “Merry Christmas” VND 10,000 - VND 50,000/piece.

Gift items such as teddy bears and Christmas dolls are priced from VND 100,000 - VND 400,000/product; gift boxes, gift bags, gift wrapping paper from VND 10,000 - VND 60,000/product; Christmas decorations from VND 20,000 - VND 40,000 /piece.

Ms. Pham Thi Kim Khanh, the store owner on Tran Tong Street, Tac Gian Ward, Thanh Khe District said that this year, the price of Christmas products increased slightly by 5 - 20%. However, since the beginning of the month, the number of customers coming to the store has increased 4-5 times compared to the previous month.

At many business and service establishments across the city, Christmas decorations are considered to be a solution to attract customers to come and support.

Ms. Le Chau Hai Yen, the manager of Xem coffee shop, Do Quang Street, Hai Chau District) said that the shop had the idea and prepared the decoration from the beginning of November, it took two weeks to complete the Christmas decorations. Luckily, the shop also received support from customers and came to the shop to take many photos.

Ms. Dang Thi Thuong, Man Thai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District expressed that this year many stores pay great attention to investing in Christmas decorations, she prioritises choosing shops that invest in beautiful decorations to save memories with her relatives.

Over recent years, in addition to traditional markets, decorative accessories and Christmas gifts have become increasingly popular in e-commerce markets such as Lazada and Shopee with more preferential prices than in the market from 10-15% for customers.
