In recent days, fashion clothing stores on Le Duan, Phan Chau Trinh, Nguyen Van Linh and Trieu Nu Vuong have witnessed a growing number of shoppers who want to make the purchase of warm clothes. Although warm goods have been on sale since mid-November, the trading atmosphere is really more bustling at this time.

Mrs. Tran Thi Lan Anh, the owner of a clothing shop on Le Duan Street in Hai Chau District, said that for about a week, the number of visitors to buy winter clothes has increased 2-3 times compared to last month. The best-selling products are life and leather jackets, and cardigan sweaters.

In similar vein, the vibrant shopping atmosphere for warm goods has been recorded at the markets of Con, Dong Da and Bac My An since early December. According to a recent survey, this year’s winter fashion items are sold in quite diverse designs and reasonable prices.

People tighten their wallets due to the general difficult economic situation, so the prices of warm clothes only increase slightly by 5-15%.

At observed at fashion stores, the selling prices of winter clothes are divided into many segments to serve a variety of customer needs.

Specifically, clothing models for women such as thermal shirts and thin sweaters cost from VND80,000 - VND200,000/ piece. The prices of cardigan sweaters range from VND200,000 - VND300,000 VND/ piece. Sheep and rabbit fur coats are being sold at the prices of VND300,000 - VND600,000/piece.

Life and leather jackets with a variety of designs and colours have higher prices ranging from VND450,000 - VND700,000/piece. Sweatpants and tights cost from VND150,000 - VND300,000/piece depending on type.

Particularly for men's clothing, the prices are slightly higher. Warm sweaters cost from VND300,000 - VND400,000/piece. Windbreakers are on sale between VND300,000 and VND500,000/piece. Leather and life jackets range in price from VND500,000 - VND900,000/piece.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Mai Phuong, a resident of Phuoc Ninh Ward, Hai Chau District, shared that the weather in recent days has suddenly turned cold, so she had to buy additional warm clothes for her family members to ensure their health. In addition to warm clothes, she needs wool scarves and hats, and gloves.

Meanwhile, stores specialising in warm accessories on Le Duan, Hung Vuong and Ong Ich Khiem streets are crowded with customers at noons and in the evenings.

Accordingly, scarves cost from VND100,000 - VND250,000/piece depending on material and style; wool hats from VND80,000 - VND200,000/piece; gloves from VND40,000 - VND100,000/pair; and warm socks from VND30,000 - VND60,000/pair.

Similarly, stores specialising in children's fashion on Hoang Dieu Street welcome a large number of shoppers.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phuong, a resident of Man Thai Ward, Son Tra District, who just bought warm clothes for her child, said this year’s warm clothes for children were both beautiful and warm but the prices were quite reasonable, not much higher than last year’s.

In addition, stores selling mattresses, blankets, sheets and pillows are crowded with shoppers.  Some of them on Dien Bien Phu and Nguyen Tri Phuong streets are offering discounts of 10-30% to customers, helping increase purchasing power for these items.

Aside from traditional stores and markets, e-commerce platforms are also the choice of many customers. Warm clothing items on commercial platforms such as Shopee and Lazada, and social networks like Facebook and Zalo are also diverse in designs and prices, suitable for many customer segments. However, customers should find reputable and trusted addresses to shop online effectively.
