Petrol prices inch up after 5 consecutive decreases
Viet Nam’s petrol prices were revised up slightly at 3:00 pm on Thursday by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance.

The E5 RON92 gasoline sells for VND21,199 per litre, a mild rise of VND687, while the price of RON 95-III edged up VND740, at VND22,145 per litre.
Diesel oil is priced at VND19,524 per litre, up VND514, while the price of kerosene increased by VND530 to VND20,494 per litre.
Each kilogram of mazut is capped at VN 15,265 per kg, up VND287.
Thus, after 5 consecutive decreases, gasoline prices have increased again since the application of the new operating mechanism.
In this adjustment, the management agency decided to set aside a stabilization fund at VND300/kg but not to use the petrol and oil price stabilisation fund.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, world gasoline prices have increased in recent days, leading to an increase in domestic energy prices.
