Established in 1989, Skytrax are specialist Research and Quality Advisors to the air transport industry. Based in London, the UK, they work with airlines and airports around the world.

The amenities of Da Nang airport’s international terminal are highly appreciated by Skytrax such as business class lounges, baby strollers, children's play areas, mother and baby rooms, shopping carts, prayer rooms, self- check-in counters, self-baggage counter, and automatic immigration and departure gates.

For the time being, a total of 19 airports and 3 airport terminals all around the world are recognised as five-starred service providers by SkyTrax.

Among them, Da Nang's international terminal is the only representative from Viet Nam to receive a four-star rating from SkyTrax in March 2023. Nine months later, it has been promoted to 5 stars.

Recently, Da Nang International Airport has focused on promoting Vietnamese culture, installing miniatures imbued with local identity, and bringing traditional elements into artistic performances through the programme "The Heritage Road". The purpose is to provide passengers with the best services, enhance the airport terminal experience, and meet global standards of the aviation industry.

Previously, on December 12, 2023, the airport’s International Terminal became the only Southeast Asian representative to be awarded with a Welcome Chinese certification from the China Tourism Academy in recognition of its efforts for upgrading services to satisfy Chinese travellers.
