Da Nang willing to create favourable conditions for investors

On the sidelines of the ‘Meet Da Nang 2024’ programme, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh warmly received ambassadors of Argentina, Malaysia and Brazil in Viet Nam on Friday.

During his reception for Argentinian Ambassador to Viet Nam Luis Pablo Maria Beltramino, Chairman Chinh informed that Da Nang signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2021 on establishing the bilateral cooperative relationship with Mar Del Plata City, General Pueyrredón District, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, on boosting cooperation in education, culture, smart cities, digital transformation, creative industries, environment, urban transportation, port complex , food industry and other fields.

He expressed his desire that the Argentine Ambassador will introduce to Da Nang some localities in Argentina that have similarities in development orientation, thereby proceeding to establish cooperation, as well as encourage multi-industry business delegations and investors to visit and explore investment environment in Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.

Mr. Chinh pledged that the city will create favourable conditions for Argentine investors and businesses to learn about and connect with investors in Da Nang, as well as further strengthen economic, trade and investment relations between Da Nang and Argentina.

When having a bilateral meeting with Mr. Dato' Tan Yang Thai, the Malaysian Ambassador to Viet Nam, Mr. Chinh pledged to create an open and transparent investment environment for Malaysian investors, and protect the safety of Malaysian tourists when coming to Da Nang.

At the same time, he asked the Malaysian diplomat to act as a bridge to introduce delegations of businesspeople to learn about the investment environment and seek cooperation opportunities in Da Nang in the fields of tourism, seaports, high-tech agriculture and renewable energy.

In reply, Mr. Dato' Tan Yang Thai pledged to bring more Malaysian tourists to Da Nang to promote the city's tourism development. He thanked the city leaders for special care and creating favourable conditions for more than 18 Malaysian projects to operate effectively in the city.

"We highly appreciated Da Nang’s investment potential, especially in the Centralised Information Technology Park and High-Tech Park" said the Malaysian guest noted.

Meanwhile, when receiving Brazilian Ambassador to Viet Nam Marco Farani, Chairman Chinh said that there are currently no Brazilian businesses investing in Da Nang. Therefore, the city government hoped that the Brazilian diplomat will introduce Da Nang's investment and development potential to investors from Brazil.

Expressing his impression on the city’s favourable investment environment and attractive incentives for foreign investors, Brazilian Ambassador Farani Marco vowed to send personnel to work in Viet Nam to help the country promote the development of the semiconductor industry.

He expressed his desire that Viet Nam and Brazil will sign a Memorandum of Understanding in the production of semiconductor components in the future.

He also pledged to transfer information about the city's investment environment to Brazilian businesses, thereby soon establishing cooperative relations with Da Nang in the years ahead.
