Da Nang's economic potential introduced to foreign investors

This was part of the "Meet Da Nang 2024" programme organised by the municipal People's Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from January 25 - 27.

Specifically, the delegates visited the High-Tech Park, the Dedicated Information Technology Park, the Software Park No. 2 and the Lien Chieu Port.

According to the latest statistics, in 2023, the Authority of the Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks granted investment licences to 19 new projects with a total investment capital of US$258.6 million (equivalent to VND6,301 billion).

Accumulated up to now, the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Parks have attracted 526 projects, totalling US$3,413 million, equivalent to VND83,152.6 billion.

In 2024, Da Nang targets to attract at least three projects, worth about US$200 million, into the Da Nang High-Tech Park. The projects will focus on three main spearheads: aerospace technology, semiconductor circuit and high-quality medical industry.

The delegates were also introduced to the high-tech business incubation programme of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park's General Service Centre. Since 2019, the programme has had five graduated projects and two others in incubation.

The Da Nang Hi-tech Park's General Service Centre facilitates incubation projects to connect with domestic and foreign investors and investment funds, promote communications activities, complete corporate legality, and ensure product stability.

At the construction site of the Lien Chieu Port, the Da Nang Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects answered some questions raised by investors about the importance of the project in promoting local economic development, creating leverage, and becoming a trading and logistics hub for Da Nang and Central Viet Nam as a whole.
