The programme provided the good opportunity for tourism and travel businesses in the three central regional localities to meet, connect, and cooperate with partners from the Philippines.

In Da Nang, the delegation visited the Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area, the Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula, the Dragon Bridge, the Bridge of Love, and some local beaches.

According to Mr. Nguyen Son Thuy, Director of the Duy Nhat Indochina Travel Company - the coordinating unit to welcome the delegation, members of the famtrip delegation were mainly representatives of travel agencies from the Philippines.

He added that the trend of this tourist market was to travel in groups, families and small groups. Therefore, these tourism firms have planned to sell tours to Da Nang and other central regional localities until October 2024.

Travel agencies will develop 4-day/ 3-night tours, in which guests will stay one night in each locality.

Mr. Nguyen Son Thuy also said that, after the farmtrip, businesses will develop tours, routes, and tourism products that suit the needs and tastes of customers.

He emphasised that the reception for the delegation was an opportunity for the parties to connect, build, and form a series of regionally specific products and services for Filipino guests in the future.

Representatives of tourism businesses from the Philippines highly appreciated the destinations and services of Da Nang and Central Viet Nam as a whole. They, at the same time, hoped to build products suitable for this customer market in the near future.

The Philippines, a country in the ASEAN bloc, has a population of more than 109 million people. It is very close, friendly and similar in cultural life to Vietnamese people.

Connection activities between Da Nang and the Philippines have been increasingly enhanced since Cebu Pacific Airlines opened a Manila-Da Nang direct flighton December 7, 2023, with a frequency of 3 flights/week and a flight time of about 2.5 hours.
