Vice Chairman Minh highly appreciated the Intel Corporation's suggestions on new approaches for Da Nang in developing artificial intelligence (AI), especially in the Industrial Revolution 5.0.

At the same time, the city agreed with Intel Corporation's proposal to deploy AI training programmes at city-based universities, and businesses as well, he added.

The city leader expressed his desire that the US group will promote early support for universities citywide in terms of learning curricula, lecturer training, AI major, and other majors such as tourism, healthcare and economics.

Mr. Minh unveiled that the Danang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Center for Research and Training (DSAC) and local universities will closely work with the Intel Corporation to provide training courses on AI for university lecturers in February.

In addition, the US partner will support textbooks, software, and experts in order to serve AI training for universities that have AI training programmes, especially the Duy Tan University and the Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU).

There will be a basis to deploy AI training programmes for universities in the city and the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions as well, Mr. Minh noted.

The city leader stressed the need for AI training programmes to be close to the labour market for local students to get jobs, especially at leading technology enterprises.

He pointed out the necessity of consultations from the world’s leading corporations such as Intel and Synopsys, along with those in Viet Nam like Viettel, VNPT and FPT about AI training courses and programmes.

Besides, the city is paying special attention to building e-government and smart city, so it is in need of advice from experts and AI training programmes for officials and experts of government departments and agencies, and localities.

The city plans to establish a high-performance computing centre located in the Software Park No. 2, including the deployment of AI applications and training programmes. Therefore, the city hopes that the Intel Corporation will support and cooperate with the city to effectively deploy this centre.

When the Software Park No. 2 comes into operation, it will attract the world's leading corporations in semiconductor and AI such as Intel and Synopsys , Vice Chairman Minh emphasised.
