Many businesses in Da Nang resume operations after Tet
Right after 7-day break for Tet holiday, many businesses in Da Nang have resumed their operations in order to complete orders and meet market and export requirements.

At the canning and bottling line of HEINEKEN Vietnam Brewery Co., Ltd. based in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, on February 14 (the 5th day of Tet), the company’s workers returned to work.
Although this line has advanced technology from European countries, with a beer canning capacity of up to 96,000 cans/hour and beer bottling capacity of 50,000 bottles/hour, workers are always on duty to continuously monitor, check, and operate nearly 10 different stages to ensure the quantity and quality of products.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh, Head of the company's Packaging Department, said “Due to the requirements of orders after Tet, since the 5th day of Tet, we have arranged workers to work continuously with 3 shifts and 4 teams to monitor, check, and operate the safety chain system at all stages such as checking empty cans and bottles, cleaning up cans and bottles, filling beer, checking after filling, and putting the crates into storage before being released to the market”.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuc, Senior Director of the External Affairs Department of the HEINEKEN Vietnam Brewery Co., Ltd. said that the product consumption was good before and during Tet so there was no inventory. Therefore, to meet the needs of the post-Tet consumer market, workers in production departments returned to work on February 14 (the 5th day of Tet). February 16 (the 7th day of Tet), all officials and workers returned to the company.
At the Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company based in the Lien Chieu Industrial Park, more than 200 workers of the Rolling Mill factories started production on February 14 (the 5th day of Tet). The workers were arranged to work continuously in 3 shifts at 10 rubber processing lines in 2 factories.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ngai, Director of the Rolling Mill Factory informed that 200 workers the Rolling Mill factories had to return to work 2 days in advance to have raw materials for production activities at other factories in the next stages.
“A production factory with advanced Italian technology will be completed and put into operation in late October 2024, which will improve production speed as well as product quality, thereby meeting export requirements of demanding markets" he unveiled.
And Mr. Ho Van Dung, Head of Human Resources - Salary Department of the Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company said February 17, all more than 1,800 officers and workers of the entire company (5 manufacturing factories, 2 service factories) returned to work normally.

Meanwhile, all workers of the Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trading JSC in Tho Quang Ward, Son Tra District, returned to work on February 15 (the 6th day of the first lunar month).
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trading JSC Tran Van Linh said that his company always created favourable conditions for workers to work and ensures their health to increase labour productivity. In 2024, the company targets to increase its growth by about 10% compared to last year. The company's export markets are mainly European countries, the US and Japan.
In the first days of the new lunar year, production and business activities at the Da Nang Port were bustling again.
Mr. Tran Le Tuan, Party Committee Secretary cum General Director of the Da Nang Port Company said that in recent days, the Da Nang Port has deployed the E-tractor system to help transmit and receive industrial signals for tractors to the container exploitation line; and the eCPS (Chassis Position System); thereby contributing to increasing ship operating productivity and ensuring labour safety for workers.
Aside from constantly upgrading existing equipment and facilities, the Da Nang Port has implemented a project to build the 20ha Hoa Vang Logistics Centre and a large warehouse system; as well as completed the construction of bridges Nos.4 and 5 to soon put it into operation in early 2024.
Furthermore, the Da Nang Port has been focusing on investing and perfecting infrastructure, equipment, and logistics systems towards the goal of providing full-service services to customers.
In 2024, the port is determined to well complete production and business tasks, 3% higher than in 2023. The average income of workers is guaranteed to be stable and increase by 7% compared to 2023.
