Specifically, bride Kashmera and groom Inderdeep from India held a wedding ceremony with nearly 500 guests at the Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Center from January 19 - 21, 2024.
In February 2024, Da Nang was chosen by two more Indian couples to hold their wedding ceremonies. Bride Kulvin Kaur and groom Dilip Bhagwan decided to choose the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa as the location for their wedding ceremony from February 2 - 4 with more than 200 guests.
Meanwhile, the wedding ceremony of bride Heena Paryani and groom Bhisham Ramchandani took place at the Danang Marriot Resort and Spa from February 29 - March 2.
Both couples are of Indian origin, but they are living and working in Singapore and the Philippines. However, the couples still keep Indian traditions with many grand wedding ceremonies.
Mr. Dhinesh Rajarathinam, CEO of the Dated Luxury Weddings Consulting and Event Organisation Co., Ltd., the organiser of the two weddings in Da Nang, said that in 2024, the company has received requests for wedding planning consultation for about 30 international couples. As for Indian couples, the company plans to organise weddings for 5 couples in the first quarter of 2024.
According to Mr. Dhinesh Rajarathinam, the company expects to organise about 20 international weddings this year, including 6-8 Indian couples.
Three large weddings of Indian couples and dozens of weddings of couples in the form of wedding tourism in the first 2 months of 2024 is a positive signal for Da Nang tourism.
Determining wedding tourism as a new product, the city's tourism industry focuses resources to organize a series of activities to promote and advertise this segment with the expectation of making Da Nang a popular wedding tourism destination in Asia.
