Developing rural tourism in building new rural areas

The Da Nang People's Committee has just issued decision approving the plan to implement the rural tourism development programme in building new rural areas in the city to 2025.

By 2025, the city will complete the planning for tourism in mountainous areas and the planning for water entertainment areas in Hoa Vang District to call for investment in development and provision of natural ecological experience-based tourism products.

Also, the focus will be on standardising rural tourism destinations and products, forming 2 OCOP tourism products certified with 3 stars or higher, and developing 2 community-based tourism cooperatives. 100% of tourism establishments will be trained with necessary skills for tourism.

Moreover, the city will lay an emphasis on promoting the development of rural tourism associated with the digital transformation process.

Accordingly, at least 50% of rural tourist attractions will be digitised and connected on tourism promotion sites using digital technology. 100% of rural tourist attractions will apply electronic transactions in tourism activities. A unique rural tourism linkage network of Hoa Vang District will be created, whilst a database and digital map of rural tourist destinations in the district will be built.

The plan will be caried out in Hoa Vang District with a focus on agricultural, forestry and fishery production sites associated with tourism activities with the participation of the local community.

Specific solutions and tasks of the plan will include the upgrade and development of typical rural tourism products associated with implementing the criteria for building new rural areas; as well as raising public awareness about agricultural and rural tourism associated with new rural construction.

Importance will be attaching to developing human resources for rural tourism; piloting project on exploiting tourism services combined with the development of agriculture, forestry, and aquaculture in Hoa Vang District and a project on developing community-based tourism in Hoa Vang District during the 2021-2025 period with the orientation to 2030; and applying technology and promoting digital transformation in rural tourism development.
