As recorded at shops specializing in selling flowers of all kinds and gifts on Le Duan, Hung Vuong, Nguyen Van Thoai and Dien Bien Phu, a large number of customers made purchases and placed orders. There was a high consumption of highly attractive fresh flowers rich in variety and bright colours.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Uyen, the owner of a fresh flower shop on Nguyen Van Thoai Street, My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, said that roses are still the top choice of customers because of their beauty and symbolism of love and romance. Besides, many other types of flowers such as tulips, lilies, and sunflowers are also popular because of their luxurious beauty and unique meaning.

Surveys showed that the price of fresh flowers and gifts fluctuated, with fresh flowers increasing by about 5-15% compared to this time last year and 2-3 times compared to normal days. However, in general, the price was still suitable for most consumers.

As for the retail price for fresh flower items, a bouquet of roses was priced at VND 150,000-200,000; Tulips at VND 200,000-300,000 per bouquet, orchids at VND 50,000-100,000/stem. In particular, dried flower products placed in balloons received a lot of attention and customers could choose accompanying gifts such as teddy bears, perfume, jewelry with prices ranging from 300,000 to millions of VND, depending on the accompanying gift.
