Accordingly, the two sides agreed to launch a train line called ‘Central Heritage Connection’ on the occasion of the 49th anniversatry of Liberation Day of Thua Thien Hue Province (March 26) and Da Nang (March 29).
The train route promises to bring an impressive journey for locals and tourists when admiring the natural beauty on the road through Hai Van Pass between Thua Thien-Hue province and Da Nang that was once named among the 10 most beautiful drives in the world by renowned US magazine Travel Leisure.
This railway tourism product is also to offer a distinctive experience in terms of services on the train and exploration at destinations along the routes via Hue, Lang Co Bay, and Da Nang. Railway tours present an ideal opportunity for families to enjoy a scenic ride around mountains and coastal landscapes.
Every day, there will be trains travelling from Hue to Da Nang and vice versa during morning and afternoon hours.
The trains are directly managed and operated by the Ha Noi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company for business exploitation, and at the same time combining tourism and travel businesses in the two localities to exploit tourism services.
The authorities of Thua Thien Hue Province and Da Nang will carry out activities to support the Viet Nam Railway Corporation and the Ha Noi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company in implementing policies on traffic connection and ensuring security and tourism services to attract tourists and local residents to travel by rail.
The expected ride price is set at VND 150,000/ticket. A 20% discount will be applied for tourism units under the Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang Tourism Associations, and at the same time, the monthly ticket of VND 900,000 and discounts for policy beneficiaries will be launched.
Each train has 7 carriages, including 4 soft-seat ones serving a total of 56 seats and the remaining one for passengers who enjoy and experience special art, culinary, shopping for signature products of the ancient capital of Hue and the Central region as a whole.
According to Deputy General Director of Viet Nam Railway Corporation Tran Anh Tuan, in the first time, trains will have music performance areas for violin and saxaphone artists in the community carriages. The seats and restroom systems are cleanly equipped and convenient for passengers.
The unit is ready to lower information lines along the railway from Kim Lien Station in Da Nang to the north of Hai Van Pass in Thua Thien-Hue Province so that tourists can easily see the surrounding natural scenery.
Mr. Tran Anh Tuan hopes that Hue in particular, and Thua Thien Hue Province as a whole, will pay attention to ensuring order, re-arranging business kiosks, adding tourist handbooks and arranging more lighting systems at the Hue Railway Station. In particular, the locality needs to soon remove self-opening paths across the railway to ensure safety for people, train speed on schedule and create a good impression on tourists.
Currently, Thua Thien Hue Province has communicated with many tour organisers and promoted the image of the Hue - Da Nang tourist train route on social networking platforms. Some local departments want the train route to create conditions for businesses to introduce their products, arrange luggage storage and aim to use environmentally-friendly products, with a roadmap to reduce plastic on trains.
In addition, Hue is considering arranging more community-sharing bicycle stations in the area near the Hue Station.
