Additional four non-subsidised bus routes launched in Da Nang

The Da Nang Department of Transport, on Friday, launched four non-subsidised bus routes in the city which are operated by the Phuong Trang FutaBuslines Passenger Car JSC.

Two of the bus routes will connect Da Nang with neighbouring Quang Nam Province.

In particular, bus route LK21 will connect Da Nang to Quang Nam Province’s Tam Ky City.

The specific bus route will be Da Nang’s southern bus station - National Highway 1A - Old National Highway 1 (Nam Phuoc - Dien Phuong - Dien Minh - Vinh Dien) - National Highway 1A - Old Huong An Bridge - National Highway 1A - Tam Ky Bus Station - Phan Boi Chau - Phan Chu Trinh - 954 Phan Chu Trinh (Tam Ky Bridge - Quang Nam).

The buses will operate daily on the route every 15-25 minutes from 4:45 am to 5:30 pm.

The bus route LK02 will operate between Da Nang and Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An City.

The specific bus route will be the bus station at the Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology - Road DT607 - Nguyen Tat Thanh - Hoi An bus station - Ly Thuong Kiet - Tran Nhan Tong - Cua Dai - Au Co - Parking area at the Cua Dai inland waterway station.

The buses will operate daily on the route every 15-30 minutes from 5:45 am to 6:00 pm.

In addition, there will be 2 intra-city bus routes.

Specifically, the bus route No.21 will be Da Nang Coach Station - Ton Duc Thang - Hue T-junction - Dien Bien Phu - Nguyen Tri Phuong - Tieu La - Luong Nhu Hoc - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh - Xuan Thuy - Trinh Dinh Thao - Le Dai Hanh - Ong Ich Duong - Cam Le Bridge - Nguyen Hong Anh - Phan Van Dang - National Highway 1A - Southern bus station.

The buses will operate daily on the route every 15-25 minutes from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Meanwhile, the bus route No.2 will be Da Nang Coach Station - Nam Tran - Ly Thai Tong - Nguyen Tat Thanh - Thuan Phuoc Bridge - Le Duc Tho - Hoang Sa - Vo Nguyen Giap - Truong Sa - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Tran Dai Nghia - Bus station at the Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology.

The buses will operate daily on the route every 15-30 minutes from 5:45 am to 6:00 pm.

Tickets cost VND39,000 per Da Nang-Tam Ky trip, and VND35,000 per Da Nang-Hoi An trip. Monthly tickets apply according to the Danabus bus ticket structure.

Pupils and students of universities, colleges, and intermediate schools (excluding work-study training systems); workers working in industrial parks; elderly people aged 60 and above; social policy beneficiaries; parents, wives, children and relatives of martyrs; and people with disabilities will get a 50% discount on bus fares.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Director of the Da Nang Traffic Signal and Public Transport Operation Centre Ho Nguyen Quoc Cuong highlighted that the operation of these 4 bus routes contributed to creating favourable conditions for people to travel within Da Nang, and between the city and the neighbouring of Quang Nam Province, thereby bringing a new facelift to public transportation in general, and to Da Nang and Quang Nam Province in particular.

Also, he pointed out some outstanding points of the newly-launched bus routes. In particular, the 26-seater buses are 100% new, and they are new models of GAZelle, designed to support disabled people, using an environmentally friendly EURO V exhaust treatment system.

Buses are fully equipped with convenient equipment for users as well as for management agencies such as surveillance cameras, GPS, Wifi, and Led indicator lights.
