A multi-experience art show combined with the nightly fireworks performances entitled ‘Symphony of River’ has officially been launched at the Da Nang Downtown complex (former Asia Park). The programme, the first-ever of its kind in the city, is expected to become a new highlight for Da Nang night-time tourism.

With the idea of bringing ‘symphonies’ beyond the boundaries of the concert hall, the ‘Symphony of River’ brings visitors a unique ‘multi-experience’ concert at a capacity outdoor stage with more than 2,000 seats by the Han River at the new entertainment centre of the Da Nang Downtown.

‘Symphony of River’ is performed on a stage on the water with the participation of 100 international artistes performing many types of art such as ballet, hiphop, contemporary dance and malambo.

The special highlight that makes the show impressive and unique is the skillful dances in the air and on the water performed by more than 20 world champion jetski and flyboard athletes from H2O, t he world's leading producer of water shows combined with fireworks. H2O Events has over 30 years of experience organizing shows at numerous theme parks in the U.S., Australia and China, as well as working on blockbuster movies like James Bond and Mission Impossible.

The programme opens with popular performances on large stages such as ‘quick change’ (a performance style where a performer changes quickly, usually within seconds, from one costume into another) combined with the ‘funky balloon’ comedy (a balloon clown) or spectacular juggling on the immortal melody ‘Comedians Galop’ created by famous Russian composer Kabalevsky.

In addition to the performances of the artistes, the highlight of the programme is the painting’ of water, light and colourful fireworks from professional jetski riders and flyboarders. The performance brought excitement and overwhelm to the audience, increasingly stirring up the emotions in ‘Symphony of River’.

Throughout the 45-minute-long show, the spectators can enjoy famous classical melodies of the majestic symphony genre. Using famous classical music works to tell the story throughout has created a riverside symphony in Da Nang.

Each performance of the show takes the audience from one surprise to another. Viewers feel like the Han River is, for the first time, arousing long-pent-up emotions, and conveying all mysteries about it into every episode of the show.

Along with the 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, ‘Symphony of River’ will be a highlight programme attracting visitors to the city this summer.

After enjoying the show ‘Symphony of River’, Ms. Ho Nguyen Thuy Linh, a Vietnamese tourist, said that the show on Friday was very majestic and beautiful.

The most impressive was the water motorbike and aerial performances of the artistes combined with fireworks. It was really unique and attractive.

It is known that the show ‘Symphony of River’ starts at 8:30 p.m. every day from June 28 to July 12 at the Da Nang Downtown. ‘Symphony of River’ applies a 50% discount on ticket prices for all visitors, with prices of VND 500,000 (Stand A) and VND 300,000 (Stands B1/B2) from Monday to Thursday.
Ticket prices are set at VND 750,000 (Stand A) and VND 450,000 (Stands B1/B2) for all types of visitors from Friday to Sunday.

Especially, for residents of Da Nang and neighbouring Quang Nam Province, when buying tickets for the ‘Symphony of River’ show from now until September 30, the preferential ticket price is only VND 250,000 (Stands B1/B2) and VND350,000 (for Stand A) from Monday to Sunday. They must show their present identification documents proving their permanent residence status in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province at the ticket counter.
