Da Nang promotes tourism in Taiwan market (China)
The Da Nang Department of Tourism has just coordinated with its counterparts in the neighbouring provinces of Thua Thien - Hue and Quang Nam to organize a joint tourism promotion programme in Taipei, Taiwan (China) with the theme ‘Central Viet Nam Heritage’.

The programme saw the participation of more than 120 guests who are representatives of airlines, travel companies and press agencies in Taipei, Taiwan (China), offering an opportunity for businesses to join meetings, connections and exchanges.
At the event, representatives from Thua Thien - Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam introduced to guests their typical tourism products with a focus on the in-depth promotion of products suitable to the tastes of Taiwanese (Chinese) tourists such as beach resort tourism, cultural, culinary tourism, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), spa, golf, wedding and event tourism.
According to Mr. Vu Tien Dung, the Chairman of the Viet Nam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, in the first 5 months of 2024, Viet Nam welcomed nearly 530,000 visitors from Taiwan (China), an increase of 110.1 % from the same period last year, about 45% of whom went to tourist destinations in Central Viet Nam such as Hue, Hoi An (Quang Nam) and Da Nang.

Within the framework of the programme, businesses operating in the cited three Vietnamese localities had the opportunity to approach, exchange, introduce tourism products and services to partners in the B2B (business - to - business space, promoting bilateral exchange of visitors between the parties.
It is known that Da Nang tourism has developed strongly in the first five months of 2024. As reported, the number of visitors served by accommodation establishments in Da Nang reached nearly 3.78 million, up more than 22% compared to the same period last year.
Particularly, for the Taiwanese (China) tourist source market, the number of visitors to Da Nang accounted for 10.8% of the total international visitor arrivals and ranked second in the top 10 international visitor source markets for Da Nang in the first five months of 2024.
