Work started on the Da Nang Port JSC-developed project on February 7, 2022. Covering an area of 37,415 m2, the project, with a capacity of approximately 110,000 Teus, aims to meet the increasing demand for container cargo exploitation, making it convenient for loading and unloading of equipment and the transportation of goods between the piers and the yard and vice versa.

The construction of the piers Nos.4 and 5 featured main items, including embankment behind the piers, container yard, internal roads, and synchronous water supply and drainage systems.

In its strategic development orientation, the Da Nang Port identifies container goods as a key product, and gradually turns itself into the largest and most modern container port in Central Viet Nam.

At the same time, the port lays an emphasis on developing services for container, passenger and large tonnage ships, thereby differentiating and affirming its position.

The project was completed in combination with the existing warehouse system at the Tien Sa Port Enterprise and its member companies, increasing the total area of the port to nearly 30 hectares.

Included in the project was the installation of 4 ERTG cranes and accompanying technical infrastructure to serve 50,000 DWT container ships, 70,000 DWT general cargo ships, and 168,000 GT passenger ships.

The project received great support and consensus from the Viet Nam Maritime Corporation, the municipal People's Committee, and central and local functional units.

The project significantly contributes to promoting the synchronous development of the logistics system serving the seaport, and creating a foundation for the Tien Sa Port to become a modern container port in Central Viet Nam.
