Connecting Da Nang's innovation startup ecosystem in Australia
A delegation of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology visited the New South Wales Investment (NSW Investment), and the Stone & Chalk - Australia's largest innovation community at its Sydney branch, on October 2.

The intention of the trip was to promote cooperation opportunities, support innovation startups in Da Nang, and learn from experiences in designing and operating innovation spaces, and support policies for businesses in New South Wales.
According to the representative of NSW Investment, New South Wales is a safe and attractive destination for startups to do business and promote investment in priority areas such as clean technology, advanced manufacturing, international education, and medical technology. At NSW Investment, there are support programmes and policies for innovative startups, as well as opportunities for startups in Da Nang.
Through the connection of the municipal Department of Science and Technology of the city and the Viet Nam-Australia Innovation Network, Da Nang’s startups can access the International Landing Pad programme of NSW Investment to use free of charge workplaces and co-working spaces in Sydney, Australia for 3 months, and be assisted with legal procedures when opening an office or developing a business in New South Wales.
During the meeting, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology Le Thi Thuc introduced the potential of the innovation startup ecosystem in Da Nang, including high-quality human resources and the dynamism of startups in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence and semiconductors.
A representative for NSW Investment highly appreciated the development of the innovation startup ecosystem, and the potential mechanisms, policies and strengths of Da Nang.

At the same time, the NSW Investment representative pledged to support businesses, investment funds and business incubators in Australia to visit Da Nang, as well as support Da Nang's startups to access the New South Wales market.
The delegation visited Stone & Chalk Incubator - Australia's largest innovation community at its branch in Sydney.
Receiving the Da Nang delegation, Ms. Linh Le, the Community Development Director of Stone & Chalk, introduced the guests to the innovation space with functional areas and operational experience, and service solutions provided to the business community.
Ms. Linh Le said Stone & Chalk was ready to share experiences, knowledge and effective support models for young entrepreneurs, opening up many potential cooperation opportunities with Da Nang, and contributing to improving the competitiveness and innovation of the city’s startup ecosystem.
