Opportunities for cooperation and sustainable tourism development
The Da Nang Tourism Association held its 4th Congress for the 2024-2029 term on Thursday. This activity was part of the event "Da Nang Tourism Festival 2024" themed "Smart Connection - Inspiring Innovation" taking place on October 17 and 18.

In his speech delivered at the congress, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the association in the past term. In the difficult context due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the members of the association, tourism businesses, and service providers have all made continuous efforts to achieve the current results.
This was also a bright spot for the city's tourism, showing that Da Nang has the attractiveness, appeal, and ability to meet the increasingly high demands of customer segments, as well as to organise major events to deserve its title "Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination". Thanks to this, the city’s tourism industry has continued affirming its position on the global tourism map.
Vice Chairman Cuong voiced his hope that the association will develop more strongly in the next years. He wanted the association to continue to build Da Nang into a must-visit destination in the coming time.

Also, the city leader suggested that the association's executive board continue to promote the close connection between state management agencies and the association; propose solutions to develop tourism better in the coming time; and conduct research on the application of digital technology and new policies to enhance the value of tourism services, create a chain of high-end service products, and contributing to the overall development of the industry.
At the Congress, 30 members were elected to the Executive Board of the Da Nang Tourism Association. They were representatives of large corporations operating in the fields of tourism, hotels and entertainment in Da Nang.
In the new term, the association will focus on strategic cooperation, sustainable development, and the application of innovative technology and artificial intelligence in management so as to increase revenue and visitor sources, towards the common goal of developing Da Nang into a national symbol of innovation, and a must-visit tourist city.

The “Da Nang Tourism Festival 2024” is one of the efforts to build Da Nang into a center for information, exchange and sharing of updated knowledge and trends in the tourism and service industry, creating opportunities for domestic and international buyers to meet and connect. Thereby, contributing to building Da Nang into an increasingly friendly destination for tourists and an ideal city for investment and exploitation of domestic and foreign tourism and service businesses.
The “Da Nang Tourism Festival 2024” marked the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Da Nang Tourism Association (2004 - 2024). Its purpose is to promote the application of smart technology, innovative business management style in the tourism industry, and create opportunities for organisations and businesses to promote brands and introduce products, and enhance the experience for tourists. This was an important opportunity for domestic and foreign tourism businesses to share experiences, seek cooperation opportunities and together build a sustainable development future for the tourism industry.
Within the framework of the event, there were many important activities such as seminars on smart tourism, welcoming domestic and foreign famtrip delegations, and launching a large-scale business connection space.
The event had the participation of more than 300 buyers from many countries such as Viet Nam, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Japan, South Korea, China, and Taiwan (China), and more than 600 domestic tourism businesses with 80 exhibition booths.
