Da Nang boosts direct access to potential investors
Da Nang is increasingly renewing its investment promotion activities in the form of direct access to potential investors, thereby enhancing connections and promoting its environment, policies and investment opportunities.

In recent times, investment promotion activities have been regularly and continuously implemented by the municipal Department of Planning and Investment, the Investment Promotion and Support Board, and the Authority of the city’s High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones with a focus on direct access to potential domestic and foreign investors.
Accordingly, the city has organised investment promotion delegations in Vietnamese big cities of Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, and in foreign countries of France, Germany, the Netherlands, South Korea and Taiwan (China).
Additionally, 8 investment promotion seminars and conferences have been held in the city, including Semiconductor Da Nang Day 2024; a seminar on applying artificial intelligence in healthcare; a conference on ICT investment promotion and trade connection between Da Nang and South Korea’s Daegu; B2C (Business-to-Consumer) and B2G (Business to Government) programmes in the fields of industrial production, tourism, information technology and communications, and education and training with businesses from Japan’s Kagawa Province; a seminar on investment promotion in Da Nang for the Hong Kong market (China); and the 'Meet Da Nang 2024' forum.
Director of Da Nang Investment Promotion and Support Board Huynh Lien Phuong said that in the first 9 months of 2024, Da Nang welcomed 54 delegations of foreign businesses and investors who came to survey and explore investment opportunities. Included are Qualcomm Group, Marvell Company, Aeon Mall Group and TTC Group, and ADANI Group, MediaTek Group, NVIDIA Group, Sumitomo Group and BRG Group JSC.
Within the framework of the event ‘Semicon Da Nang 2024’ in August, the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications, Synopsys and Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group signed a tripartite cooperation agreement on developing the Da Nang semiconductor ecosystem. Another tripartite cooperation agreement was also signed by the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, Makara Capital Partners and a consortium of investors in Viet Nam on cooperation and investment support in startups and innovation in the city.
Representatives of the Da Nang Investment Promotion and Support Board have been included in working delegations of leaders of the city, ministries and central agencies to Laos and Japan.
Along with that, Da Nang has actively got involved in introducing its investment environment and opportunities at six events organised by domestic and foreign partners.
In particular, the board has exchanged information and worked with diplomatic representative agencies in the city, and such international organisations as AmCham, EuroCham and AusCham so as to promote the city's investment and business environment.

Moreover, the Da Nang Investment Promotion and Support Board has supported nearly 40 investors and businesses to research and implement investment activities in the city; as well as advised on establishing the inter-sectoral working groups on investment promotion and support to resolve difficulties and obstacles in order to speed up the implementation of procedures for selecting investors to implement projects in the fields of real estate, information technology infrastructure, trade - services, education, and healthcare.
Currently, the board is accelerating the implementation of 40 projects in the fields of information technology, research and development, education, healthcare, trade, logistics, smart urban complexes, financial centres, entertainment areas, international-scale commercial centres, and industrial park and seaport infrastructure development. The most prominent are the projects committed to in the memoranda of understanding signed with AeonMall Vietnam Co., Ltd., Viettel Group, Sumitomo Group and BRG Group, ADANI Group, etc.
According to Mrs. Huynh Lien Phuong, in the last months of 2024, the city will organize training courses on digital transformation in investment promotion; and coordinate with the German Enterprises’ Association to organize events on connecting Da Nang and German businesses.
Furthermore, the Investment Promotion and Support Board will continue to help investors and enterprises overcome their current difficulties and obstacles; review, amend and supplement policies and solutions to support enterprises and investors; and speed up the progress of completing technical infrastructure and the handling of procedures for selecting investors at new industrial parks.
At the same time, heed will be on calling on large investors to invest in new industrial parks such as Hoa Cam - phase 2, Hoa Nhon and Hoa Ninh. Efforts will be made to create favourable conditions for enterprises and investors to boost the economic development of the city.
